St. Dominic Savio Parish and St. Charles Borromeo, in the city of Melo, founded in 1994 and since then entrusted to the Salesians of Don Bosco Fathers, tonight held its patron saint, on the Sunday nearest its main employer, Dominguito , whose feast is celebrated on 6 May. Bishop Heriberto
presided at the Eucharist, accompanied by Father Peter, who until last year he led the parish (and continues as Director of the Liceo Melo Bishop Lasagna and community of the Salesian Fathers) and P. Francisco Paco , who has this year succeeded to the P. Pedro in the conduct of the parish.

The celebration began with the entrance of the community present and the celebrants at the empty temple, preceded by the Paschal Candle.

Fr Peter read the decree of appointment of P. Francisco as the new head of the parish.

Then, as a sign of the delivery of its mission to host and conductor of the community, the bishop gave Father Paco's book God's Word, which is to proclaim and preach and the chalice and paten with which celebrate the Eucharist, to enhance community unity with the Lord.

After the Liturgy of the Word, the Bishop administered the sacrament of Confirmation to six catechumens were prepared over the last year.

Another six catechumens celebrated their First Communion.

Twelve catechumens were congratulated by the entire community and encouraged to persevere in their union with Christ and their participation in parish life.

After Eucharist, and in a time of "feast rain" that followed, catechumens, catechists, and bishops met for the group photo.
